DETAILS OF EVENTS

AFC Playtime RESUMES!!! -- Mondays, January 4, 11, 18, 25

10-11:30am.
Arlington Heights Nursery School, basement, 5 Acton Street, Arlington.
Drop-in playtime for kids 0-4 years old with their parent/caregiver. Come and socialize with other families, and watch your little ones play in a spacious, comfortable, well-lit, contained space with ageappropriate toys. Playtime ends with circle time, including songs and stories. There is ample parking behind the school, and the basement entrance is a separate entrance from the school, in the back of the building.
Cost is $3 per family.

Big Joe the Story Teller -- Tuesday, January 5

3:30 – 4:30 pm.
Fox Library, Fox Community Room, 175 Massachusetts Avenue, Arlington.
Back by popular demand, Big Joe will be telling a series of new stories. He has been hailed as “one of the best in the business” by the Boston Globe and has been delighting children and families for many years with his exciting show. If you love stories, you will love seeing Big Joe! His stories are probably best suited for the 3+ crowd, but please feel free to bring younger children too.
Cost is $3 per child, up to $5 per family. The show starts at 3:30, so come a bit early to get tickets.

An Afternoon of Board Games -- Wednesday, January 6

3:00 – 4:30.
Fox Library, Fox Community Room (in the basement), 175 Mass. Avenue, Arlington.
There will be an assortment of games to play – from preschool age on up to 6. Come play with us!

Outing to the Children’s Discovery Museum -- Thursday, January 14

10:00 – 11:30 am.
177 Main Street, Route 27, Acton, MA.
Come and join AFC in exploring this Museum contained in a Victorian house, where the small-scale rooms, hallways, and closets have been transformed into exhibit areas. See the Train Room, Bessie’s Play Diner, the Safari Room, the Rainbow Room and the S.S. Discover!

Meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month. Over 40% of AFC moms are juggling both careers and families. Get together with other working moms!
