We're looking for a treasurer to help us file our taxes each year, help us keep track of our finances and budget for events to make sure they break even.

​We're looking for a Clerk to help keep our nonprofit filing up to date with the state each year.

​A great way to meet other families and build relationships is to work together to plan and run events. Whether or not you like party planning, or are a wall flower, this could be a good opportunity for you. We've got lots of great ideas for things parents of young kids would love to do (beer garden meet ups, farm days, puppet shows, paint nights, more outdoor family walks). We are in need of in-person volunteers at events, as well as volunteers who want to coordinate and plan.

​If you are a caregiver looking to connect with other families with littles on the weekdays at parks, this could be a great fit for you! We are looking for more playgroup volunteers to help run meet ups through the summer months at another Arlington playground. If you already go to parks on a regular basis and would like to meet more families with littles, this is a great way to your playground time slot filled with more families at the park. If there's enough interest, we may even run indoor playgroups for the colder months at Fidelity House too.

We would like to expand our working moms group to include a monthly virtual meet up for those who can't attend in person, or can't find childcare coverage. This would help expand access to this kind of meet up to solo caregivers. Responsibilities would be advertising the next meet in the AFC working moms Facebook group and via email to a private google group, creating the virtual meeting type of your choice (bonus if you have a paid account you can donate access to), and showing up to host and welcome folks.

This is a great way to share a project between two or three other parents in Arlington! Work from home to reach out to local preschools and daycares for this years updates and make any necessary changes to the preexisting AFC Childcare Options webpages. These positions are also a great way to connect with directors of local preschools and family daycares! It’s a fun project to work on, and there’s a sense of accomplishment seeing your work help others around town. It can also get you connected to all the preschools proactively before you are on the search for care.

One of the benefits of being part of AFC is our discounts program, but since the pandemic, this has fallen to the way side. We need a motivated volunteer to reach out to AFC's previous partners to help renew our discounts program and ask for sponsorships to help offset costs of our events.

With all these great positions open, we need help organizing new volunteers to help. We need someone to email the interested new members, and get them connected to where they can help. We also need help managing our membership emails to keep them up to date with how to connect to all these new and exciting programming
