Pizza Party Around the Corner!

It’s that time of year again, when the kids show off their dance moves, win silly prizes, eat pizza and watermelon, and have a great time! Our annual Pizza Party (and food collection for the Arlington Food Pantry) is here again.

Come have fun outdoors with other AFC members and enjoy a picnic pizza and ice cream dinner at our eleventh annual “Pizza at the Playground” event, Sunday, September 22 from 4:00 to 6:00pm at Parallel Playground, located at the corner of Medford Street and Mystic Valley Parkway, near the Medford rotary.

AFC will bring pizza, lemonade, water, ice cream, and watermelon…you bring picnic blankets and the kids! We encourage AFC members to bring family and friends, and anyone else interested in exploring what AFC has to offer. It’s a great opportunity to renew your membership or join AFC for the first time. The fantastic and popular DJ Ed Regal will entertain the kids non-stop, with his funny music, games, prizes, bubbles and tons of fun for all ages.

It all supports a good cause! Instead of charging an entrance fee, we will accept donations for the Arlington Food Pantry. Since 1990, the Arlington Food Pantry has been offering year-round services to those in need of assistance, providing food to 375 people per month on average. Please avoid glass containers and perishable foods. We will have a box to collect monetary donations.

Suggested donations include: canned fruits and vegetables, peanut butter and jelly, canned tuna, meals-in-a-can or box (spaghetti, stews, soups, ravioli), pasta and rice, health and beauty items (toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, toilet paper, etc.), cereal, baby food, diapers, fruit juices, coffee, tea, canned tomatoes and tomato sauce, crackers, cookies, mixes. Again, please no glass or perishables.

Please RSVP to by September 19, letting us know how many adults and how many children will attend.
